I understand competition, but this is getting WAY out of hand

This is the 2nd time someone has posted a hate ad for my company. I'm sick and tired of it.

I reckon i'm going to have a slow next couple of weeks. Here's my response to them:

At least you get someone attacking you, I just get flagged.

Since I stopped using craigslist, and started focusing on working with business owners I've increased my incoming scrap.

Craigslist is full of trash and scum.

I emailed on a freezer last night. She said someone was coming, but if anything changed she would call. So she called about an hour after that email, saying the first guy wasn't coming, and that I could come. I asked to come right then, she said tomorrow would be better. I said I wasn't sure how my morning was going to pan out, but would be in contact.

She emailed this morning saying she contacted next in line b/c I didn't call her.

I think I need to hit up commercial accounts. Residential are such idiots.

This was a commercial freezer that would have been worth reselling.

What a bunch of BS Hoss. Those guys will get what's comin to them sooner or later...hopefully sooner. Good business men are able to adapt and overcome usually for the better.

i remove appliances and fix them and sell them for cheap to help people out
and i guarantee them. so why give them to old school recycling when they are just out to make money and not help people out in return. and besides they dont dispose of refrigerators correctly. just simply cut the lines and let the free on into the atmosphere

    dherik,

I agree with you on working more with business owners rather than using Craigslist to find individuals. I have found in my line, e-scrap, that word spreads faster through business channels. Word of mouth is a powerful thing and it has really worked for us.

Craigslist has become a joke anymore.....I have listed a few things for sale on there in the past couple months and the only responses I get are from scammers...Just been a waste of time....I have responded to one or two ads for computers on there and it is a joke big time. One guy wanted $1000 per computer because he was told that there was that much gold in each one! I almost wet myself laughing so hard.

1000?! wtf is wrong with people. According the guys over at the goldrefiningforum it takes about 120 pounds of fingered boards(ram) to get about 12 grams of gold. Which according to todays price is about 580 dollars.

It is truly amazing how many people want to get involved in the business these days. Many are the very same people that used to say that there was no money in scrap metal

IdahoScrapper, i just talked to that guy that you copy/pasted. He responded to my ad a few hours ago, wondering how i dispose of my freon. I knew it was BS by the way he acted.

Just got off the phone with him. I said that i was hoping we could all be mature about this, theirs plenty of scrap out there for everyone. He said "I aint sharing i want it all". I asked him, since he said he fixes them up and resells them, if they've been certified by health and safety board to be clean, he kept responding "what, what, what, what, what". I told him "Fine, you want to play that, thats great. Show exactly how low of a human being you are. You'll get yers in the end" Hung up on him.

Im so pissed right now i cant see straight.

TheHoss, that guy is a clown. That guy couldn't handle all the scrap is this area. Some just have to be jerks about it.

I ran his number through Google. Found new places to advertise and get him riled up!

Or pull a Kramer and fill it with concrete.
