    97 Ford F150

Anyone know of any issues with the 4.6 liter engine, 250K on the clock. It's an older truck 1997 with an asking price of $1200.00 Canadian which is about $900.00 your dollars.

    Thanks for your input.

I have the same truck with a few less miles on it and 4x4. If the compression is good, I would not hesitate to pay that amount of money. Of course I would not drive it across Canada or the U.S. I do drive mine to town and back on a regular basis and it serves the purposes on the ranch. I do not worry about rust, just the mechanical. No problems with mine.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

4.6 may have the spark plug thread issues that the 5.4 Triton did. I had that engine in a 1997 E350 box truck. The truck was complete garbage, but the engine seemed good, albeit not enough for a truck that size. The Ford modulars seem to want to rev more than the other engines of the time did (5.9 Magnum and the good old 350)

Did not purchase, too much moisture on the bottom of the oil filler cap.
