If anything that is like a Ponzi about BitConnect its the referral program. Its not much of one because it only covers 3 levers. I was also thinking if they were going to exit scam everyone they would have done it when Bitcoin hit 20K. Like Lazer did. BitConnect has had there opportunity to run with everyone's money, especially when the website was down for 3 days 4 months ago.(I wasn't in it then.) They have there own exchange, they have there own coin, and they are opening up to more Cryptocurrencys and being able to buy with fiat currency next year. What I see them doing is cutting out Coinbase (with there higher fees) and other exchanges. At the same time making it easier and faster to move bitcoin and larger coins to customers all the while providing a hedge for the volatility of the crypto markets in general.
Here is my story for the 4 days bitcoin dropped from 20k to 12k roughly between the 16th -20th of Dec.. With BitConnect I received interests of 16th =1.46%, 17th= .98%, 18th=.48, 19th= .11%, and the 20th= 1.5%. equaling to approximately (I think it was more) $679.50 just from the interest. I've entered in BitConnect because I don't have the nerves to hold Bitcoin while it drops 1k here or 2k there. With BitConnect I check the interest for the next day and when it hits 1k I withdraw it to my bank, or I reinvest.
P.S. As of 12/31/17 Ripple is at $2.30 good job auminer.

I thought about mining years ago, and I didn't, I thought the whole idea of digital currency was stupid. Now the hardware costs and electricity make it to expensive.

Still do not have the confidence or knowledge to invest in Cryptocurrencies, but do enjoy the information on these threads. I just read this:

and wondering what opinions members have at this point.

I cashed out in May for a road trip. Was out there in your neck of the woods .... beautiful country.

Well it turns out that I exited at a good time. I was about break even at that point, maybe up just a little bit. I am now back in just a wee bit, probably around $200. I really think this may be the bottom for this market. It has been moving mostly sideways recently. Could go down to nothing but I have never put in money that I couldn't afford to lose.
Copper, brass, and Leather. 3 of my favorite things.

So while I was investing in Crypto and losing money I also invested in P2P lending in November 2016 a total of $150. I have received $131.10 of my total investment in return so far with a annual return of 8.72% return. My account value is $172.01 witch I'm constantly reinvesting. I use a site called Lending Club. Here is a link if you invest $5k you can receive $25. https://www.lendingclub.com/landing/...rogId=43048571 I didn't do this I just invested $100 in November and another $50 in December. If you guys have questions let me know. Also don't put your money on just 1 loan. break it up.

Funny ... I started with lending club quite a few years back. Was getting an average ROI of 13.xx% then. Now that return is down to 8.xx%, so I'm moving that money into crypto. LOL. It is a nice, solid investment choice though as long as you don't go with ALL risky notes.

What I'm doing is purchasing loans for between .80 - $6 depending what's available. Figure if this dollar will just sit there and I can make 2 or 3 cents off of it in interest, it's better than sitting there waiting for the next $25 to purchase a brand new loan.

With any loan, the interest is front loaded. If you buy a note with a principle balance that low, you are missing most of the profit.

Granted, you probably have a lower risk of losing that way. I have had several that were charged off but it always remained profitable. I really like what they term C and D rated notes. I have bought a B or two along the way. Never an A (not risky enough for me) and a few Es.

If you have leftover gold scraps you can easily convert them into Bitcoin on exchanges such as Vaultoro.
