What do you think of Cryptocurrancy?

Considering there are several US Government agencies that are seeking to reign in the wild west that is cryptocurrency, and the most recent additions to civil forfeiture policies, the fact that there is such a high expense involved in their transactions, that you could loose your cryptokey, that it is not backed by anything worth anything, the multiple high profile thefts of bitcoins, and other reasons I just don't feel safe investing any significant amount of money into any cryptocurrency. I prefer trading for what I need as often as I can, either work or other goods and/or services. Or trading precious metals, or when needed selling precious metals for cash to pay for goods and services. Something I can hold in my hand, that I have control over, that isn't as volatile as imaginary money zipping around in cyber space between huge backs of equipment capable of crazy complex computations.

No thank you, I'll stick to what I can hold in my hand!
