If you look at the rear tire you'll see the axle nut protruding on the tractor, both Canada and the USA postal service used a two wheel drive Jeep to deliver rural mail. I now think the tractor lived a previous life delivery mail.
Also the engine in the tractor screams postal Jeep, the valve cover indicates that the engine is a four cylinder GM engine nick named the Iron Duke. Both Mercruiser and OMC use them in their marine applications. You'll find that engine in some Chevy S-10's and many more GM products.
As an automotive engine it's claim to fame is reliability and economy its definitely not a performance engine.
Every time you see a US postal service Grumman on the road you'll find an Iron Duke under the hood.
