Congratulations Faceball, I'll have to find a more difficult item to identify next time.
Piston assembly from Sanden AC pump.
Also salvaged a fairly large 12 volt dc electric magnet that has about a pound of copper wire.
Repair manual, https://www.sanden.com/objects/TR%20...e%20Manual.pdf
Car AC compressor. Some have 5 pistons.
A couple fitted up could be made into some sort of petrol engine if somebody decided to make a awesome hobby project.
I have a few put aside to (one day.... Lol ) multi spindle auto lathe.
And there's already a Kiwi working on it as we speak... ( lol )
oh yes it is!

I forgot untill I saw the parts at home again.
But inside those car AC compressors there's also a valve plate & Reed valve shim/plate.
They are near exact to what's used in 'Pulse jet engineer's. Homemade of course.
Since all the other metalwork involved in making one is angle grinder & welding work & a bit of pipefitting. The Reed valve part is the hardest part to make.
Now that part is already in a compressor, all made up, that's a major part of a Pulse jet engine project already completed.
I guess people might even pay good $ for this part considering the time it takes, and uncertainty involved, in making it.
There's some good info on the net and even a page made by a Kiwi guy a few years ago where he attached one to a pram, or something.
