What is it?

Just wondering if there are any data guys or gals that can identify this connector and the type of cable.

I had the pleasure of installing a network using these back in the early 90's. That was the first and the last time I ever had to deal with these, thank goodness.

No cheating or using google.

orange and green typically point to audio something . other than that, I don't recognize the connector.

As someone that worked in an IBM parts warehouse in the late 90's, I concur.

Yes, it is a token ring connector with IBM Type 1 cable.

I only know because I pulled a bunch of it out of a place I work at. The connectors are still on the walls but the wire is out.

Without cheating, it looks like a quad-wire data cable.
Green is ground
*cheats*
orange is the signal line ... black is DC negative .... red is DC positive

There's a business I make service calls to that has some of these cables and the old hub they all plug into. I would like to see what's inside of that thing.
