    Scrap Metal - $10

Today I saw an ad on CL, it's a pile of disassembled trampoline with springs and hardware. "$10 and take all"

I heard someone tell me that a few years ago in my area people were stealing railroad tracks and what not since the price of metal went so high. Maybe this guy was aware of the prices then and has no idea he has about $1.50 worth of scrap metal (at best) for sale.

most likely bcos many ppl think about the price they paid for the item & base its scrap value on that amount.

like a lady who called me to ask how much i would pay for 3 old working computers/towers.
i told her it goes by weight but for 3 towers i can offer her the equivalent of $5..she wasnt happy at all ..she said she paid around $250 each when she bought it.

or it could have been a drug addict--looking for just enough for their days quota.

You should've called & said "I'll haul it off, but you're going to have to give me 15 bucks instead of 10."

I have used unrusted trampoline framing to make gokart chassis. It's got other uses, like makeshift sheds ( roller garage doors as siding )

But after 3 attempts I figured exactly where to cut the tubing to get maximum return.
So that after rearranging the tubing I could get the best gokart frame, of the best design, that would take the least welding to fix together, while utalising the swaged down tubing ends to fit it together.

But, if you are taking it away, you are doing them a favour, so "It's free, or **** offski".
