Far as the other stuff....don't pay then. You can still access all of the forum but one section which is the scrap room. If your trying to be a buyer/seller I can understand. Otherwise...enjoy the free content. I can't help you with support tickets, nor can the mods if I recall. Has to be the admins.



Guess I got bigger things in life to get upset over. You've had your membership for a month. Do a chargeback if your that unhappy with your services or contact your card/bank for further suggestions/options.

While I agree about the lack of contact an support....long as the forum is up and running an I can access the archives, and still post/read...I'm good. I owe them that much for the money they've put in my pocket . I know craziness! YMMV of course.

Oh an...Merry Christmas. Yea I said it...MERRY CHRISTMAS. You can stick that Happy Holiday stuff in the pc trashbin an call for a pick up. The snowflakes of the world will just have to deal with it.

If I recall properly. I never said for sure they asked.

If I knew fo sure the thread, I'd have linked it hence the..."If I recall properly..." Which doesn't translate to "They did ask, go read the thread".

I could've been sober at the time. It happens now an then.

If I could magically pull up the thread or post, I'd be Mech 2.0. Sadly he was the only one with those powers.

I hope helps clear what I said up. I can't make it any plainer.

So the lesson for today is..."If I recall properly" means just that. No hidden meaning. It's used to express the possibility the person saying/using it could possibly be mistaken.

Next time we need my words clarified...ask me. Not like most of you all don't know how to PM.

I know it's not on autopilot as spam an such gets removed an people get vacations. Then again it could be a robot doing it.

Overall ... the forum seems to work fairly well.

It doen't seem like it would be a paying proposition for the admin. The forum is graphics rich at times. Bandwidth costs money.

The problem with a one time modest payment is that it needs to be pooled into an account and left untouched. Over time, the money builds and the forum becomes self sustaining from the income generated by interest. Not seeing a lot of advertising income here.

It might be more sustainable as a yearly subscription deal.

Anyway ... i wouldn't blame the admin for not putting much labor into it unless it's a cash cow. It's enough that it's up and running. I've seen a lot of forums go by the wayside over the years.
