It varies here in the states. I don't really understand steel because i haven't done it yet. I think it breaks down to these categories in my area.
Cast Iron prepared
Cast Iron unprepared
Steel prepared
Steel unprepared
Then there are categories for complete cars, incomplete cars, mixed iron, light iron, and motor blocks.
Insulated copper wire is simpler to understand:
High grade: is generally " In the wall wire " like romex & cable.
Mid grade: Is generally what you use to plug into the wall.
Low grade: Is generally computer wire. Things like ribbon cables and cords that plug into peripherals like a monitor, printer, keyboard, and so on.
Copper is pretty straightforward:
Bare bright: Is shiny stripped copper wire at least the thickness of a paper clip ( 16 ga.)
#1 copper : Is any kind of tarnished copper. ( No other contaminants aside from oxidation )
#2 copper: is copper that's contaminated with oil, varnish, paint, solder, & tin coated copper wire that's been stripped.
There are a couple of other categories but most of what i see falls into the above three categories.

Not much going in in the way of
Ewaste buyers in this area. I ship to a buyer that's partway across the country.
Gas has been holding steady here at 2.699 USD / gal . since early September. It's currently 2.389 / gal. in the city. It holds steady at about 5.00 $/gal.on the offshore islands.
