    windows defender

Recently encountered a number of suspicious and malicious software with my pc but the windows defender successfully blocks them. Can I rely solely on this windows 10 defender in protecting my pc or any recommendation on the best antivirus software out there?

When I used to use windows (I use linux now) I would just use windows defender and nothing else. When I use the internet, I use "Brave Browser" instead of Google Chrome because it blocks ads automatically. Usually you get malware from clicking on malicious ads by accident. Pages load faster and my time is too valuable to have to see stupid ads all the time anyways.

So use brave browser or an ad blocker, I have NEVER got malware or viruses since I started using ad blockers for the past decade.

Malwarebytes Free (Malwarebytes.org) is a GREAT scan tool. Get it, and run scans every couple weeks or so- that coupled with Windows Defender is all you need

Thank you for your suggestions guys. I will have to switch from Google to Brave right now and I will consider Malwarebytes as well. Hoping it will help.

I've been using this one a long time ago. It is really great to be honest.
