    Gold fever!

So I took a load of PC cases to a different yard this week. The prices are lower but its cleaner, closer and takes less time. Had a few people checking them out and asking questions about circuit boards.
One guy wanted to show me a sample of his stash that he was going to make a lot of money on. He had seen a video and was saving up enough IC chips to fill a 5 gallon bucket. He told me he could use household chems to refine the gold and get 5K for it.
What he had was low grade boards and each one had a few IC chips on them. Gonna take a long time to fill up a 5 gallon bucket.
    Shaking my head..

I lurk in a FB group, E-waste and precious metal refining, and it amazes me what new people think and that they try to get into refining. Scary when they started asking about needed equipment and what chemicals to mix.

    Oh gee thanks greytruck.
When I started scrapping I watched all of Mooses videos. This was before he got into refining. For a beginner, he had some good info but Scrapping4adart took it to another level. He scrapped PC and other electronics. He is the person who told me about the SMF and I point people to this site all the time.
