NEW TO SCRAPPING? READ THIS: Build up your horde of magnetic and non-magnetic metals in two piles until you have a better understanding of the business. Magnetic material has low value and is mostly always steel / shred / short iron. Read old threads about non-magnetic metals and ewaste (and how to sort them), but don't forget that they generally have absolutely no tolerance for contamination (screw / iron / foreign material).

Pins and cable connectors processed yesterday, gold in the leach is being electroplated onto steel wool, then i still have all of the IC's to do.

After the steel wool has been dissolved the electroplated gold comes off as very small wires.

Another batch of steel wool dissolved, the gold wires seem a bit longer.
The colour of the gold leans toward Rose, some copper has migrated onto the gold. This tells me not enough sulphuric acid as the copper should have been taken up as a sulphate.
