My fav: breaking a cast iron boiler in a basement and getting sweaty and dirty.

My favorites part is breaking it all down, and seeing what kinda parts it has that makes it work...that being said I got me a window unit and a vacume cleaner today...can't wait till the weekend!

Anything with a copper motor!

ALuminum beach chairs are fast easy and add up quickly. I get alot because I live in the Jersey Shore. People are always breaking them.

#1 copper of course but I also like Hayward pool heater. There's a huge chunk of copper in there. #1 prep steel is nice too, clean extrusion. Stuff I can sell on ebay.

hot water heaters, ac units and i love the cast aluminum grills they are what i prize the most I i have one of them on the truck then I know i have had a great night!

BBQ grills, easy breakdown stainless, brass and cast aluminium.
Golf clubs, resale value.
Computer towers, clean and easy breakdown.
Old hot water systems with heavy copper drums and brass fittings
Whipper Snippers and Victa mowers for an often easy fix that can be $100 a piece on ebay. (last mower i found had a full tank of fuel, fixed the handles and mowed the lawn straight up!)

My favorite are mystery box's from customers.

Had one guy hand me a large box and said it had "some" PC stuff in it and her wanted it gone.

Opened the box and found another smaller box,

Opened that and found again another smaller box

Again i opened that box and found a smaller box. ( Now im frustrated )

Then i open that box and BAM! 9 pounds of ceramic CPU's

YAY!

I like lawn mowers or weed-whackers best, and BBQ grills.
I gave one stainless grill to my favorite brother ,who loves it.
Other I took to my brother-in-law who handed me $100 cash (I refused it but he insisted).

A lot of people were moving in the summer and did not take their grills so I had a bunch.
Well I like the AC stuff too ,like when I find AC units at the hotels.
Full of copper, one or two motors, the coil of course, and the compressor as well.
It's hard for HVAC companies to scrap them because they have to remove the refrigerant (or face like a $50,000 fine)...
I just snip them in the back yard, wait for the fizz to settle.

Well other than that I find it IMPOSSIBLE to scrap ANY working tools , and brass is hard for me to sell (but I do) it's just so pretty, (and expensive to order for knife making parts, etc. besides the "steampunk" fittings possibilities).
...Think I love the brass the most I guess.

Along with the stuff i mentioned earlier i'll take almost anything i see a dollar in or that i can use at home.
I've grabbed yucca and agave prunings, stuck em in dirt and had them re-grow into $20-$50 plants.
I like exercise bikes that can be turned into pedal powered gizmos like blenders.
I always check piles of wood for hardwood, i grow a lot of my food in a large planter box made from found wood.
Another favourite would be glazed ceramic pots.
Before chrissy on a clean-up pile i found a sack full of tools that kept me smileing all arvo.
Old gym weights are good too, straight up you know scrap value but can normaly sell for more.
I get all of the batteries i use from the side of the road.

Fridge compressors & microwaves.

Burnt off copper wire.

Lol! nope, sure didn't! do you reuse them to can or for something else? i've added microwaves to my faves, i'm like a microwave hore now! lol
