    I'm back

I was offline for three days due to Hurricane Irene - power outage. Got on earlier today for an hour, then out again. Repair guys assure me this time is good. Whoever was running ahead of the repair crew "didn't do a very good job" and missed a hanging transformer that took all afternoon to get to.

Please keep reporting spam etc. I'll get caught up as best I can. Thanks.

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

good luck Mick, I litteraly cleaned up after katrina. with the flooding think sell used c ars from areas that did not flood. also those who have flood ruined cars, remember the insurence company dosent know or care weather they have batteries or catoletic converters, and every one can use an extra 50 bucks.

Hi Dee. Big poplar came down across the driveway. Got hung up on the power lines. That's what took three days to get the power company to clear. We got out by driving under the tree and wires. Low enough that a dead little branch just touched the cab of the pickup if I wasn't careful to avoid it. I probably lost some in my woods behind me. 60 acres of really heavy woods but I haven't even been back there to look. Too busy up here.

Thanks, Olddude. I'm looking for a way to make money from this, but striking out. I was hoping to get the copper wire from the utility company that snapped - nope.

I had three trees come down. Two on the house and one on the car. Put a hole in the roof. Had gas and electric turned off by firemen. Knocked down fences and put dents in the car. Your not the only person that got screwed by the hurricane. Thank god it was towards the end of the storm.

sorry to hear about your house and car, pd24. I pray that you had good insurance and I'm sorry you have to go through such inconvenience...not to mention the apprehension during the storm. I'm thankful that it wasn't worse.
