if you have ever seen a portrat of Thomas Jefferson, that WAS my hair, well sometimes it more resembled Einstine. got mad yesterday when I couldnt keep it out of my eyes while trying to cut up a trailer frame, sooooo out came the dog clippers. do I ever look like the idiot I am.

I was going to comment this about an hour ago and the thread was closed. Or I've lost my mind?
Anyways I've been cutting my own hair for years. Although I shave it bald whereas maybe you don't want to do that.
Dee, don't be gettin' any ideas now.

I've had a ponytail since I was 17. I also inherited my Dad's pattern baldness at the same time. I got a perm when I was in my late teens - I looked like a cross between Einstein and Harpo Marx. Here I am at 53, still with the ponytail and a shaved head - I was going for the "wise old Taoist master" look but it looks more like ... well, I don't know WHAT it looks like (I've been told a horse's patootie), but the thing is, I don't care.
It's ME.

ive had this ponytail since i was 17 also... im about ready to give it the chop, though... maybe i will find the motivation soon.. maybe i will wait till the winter is over

Ah I see we have a few long hairs! I have not cut my hair for as long as I can remember. It is well past my tailbone.
Funny back in the day the older people did not trust long hairs. Now it is just the opposite. My customers are all in there 70's and up pretty much.
The little old widowers like the long hair. They don't care for the shaved/ gangster/ rapper/ slacker look.
I say people should fix the hat, it has a bill for a reason and for Gods sake pull up your pants. I don't know how they get anything done with one hand used to grab there pants. Or should I say shorts? I don't know anymore.
EDIT; Oldman just wear a hat for a while. And no your not stupid.

Yea I'm a bearded long hair myself, I wear suspenders to hold my pants up and once had a woman tell me a kiss without a beard is like having soup without salt.
Better to feel like an idiot than be one. A very long time ago I was installing an automatic transmission a heavy cast iron Power Glide for those old enough to remember them. Working under the car off of a creeper got my long hair wrapped around one of the wheels, talk about being in a helpless situation where you have a couple hundred pounds of transmission on your chest and cant move in any direction.

I'm with Dee, shave it. I think bald Guys are HOT! FWIW.
My department sponsors a head shaving event every year around St. Patricks Day for the Saint baldricks Foundation which raises money for kids with cancer. Think we raised over $70,000 this year. Hais grows back, well most peoples.

I shaved my head bald once. Discovered I have a lumpy head!So now I just keep it short. Bald = lumpy n bumpy. Short n gray = A o.k.
