Scored this the other day at VFW auction. Built in about 1943 and sold for $282 new. Weighs over 700 pounds and it had me and my boy doing some serious grunting to get it up on the trailer. Little TLC and it should turn a nice profit.

That baby is sweet! Are you going to repair and resell it? I take it you are as you post it needs a little TLC.
One question though, How much will it weigh when you are done? Sorry could not help myself, off to fix a cup of java.

They don't make 'em like that anymore. Stone cold solid. You may want to check into a spark ignition retrofit though. The pilot lights burning eat gas like crazy.
Big breakfast party when you get it done?
Injunjoe-After cleaning out the match sticks and such she'll be down to a slim and trim 719#'s from 720#'s! My #1 rule for buying and selling stuff is not to get attached to anything, this one may get the best of me tho. Before getting in the const biz I worked in the restaurant biz for about 10 years and I joked with the wife last night that I may just leave it on the trailer, put some walls up and start sling'in hash again. Next cup of coffee's on me joe.
mrbillbus-Burners have plumbing for pilots but are capped, so light as needed. Spark ignition would be a nice upgrade, I will have to look into that.
So how much did you pay for it?? Mike.
Nice!
Glad I didn't get it. I would be having to look at the expense of remodeling the kitchen to put it in place.
