Does anyone have or know where I can come up with a tail light for a 2005 Buick LeSabre. Need the driver side assy. My wife's car failed inspection for a cracked lens and a new one is UNBELIEVABLE - over $800.

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
Hi, I hope this helps. I know I should do an introduction post and I may get around to it I have bought aftermarket headlight assemblies from this place and they are exact fits. If you have a larger junk yard in your area you may be able to get it sooner. If the link doesn't work properly just do the parts search. They have new for 99.

Thanks, Northernscraps and KZBell. John's site says it doesn't have any in stock and I need the one that goes on the trunk lid. I've been watching ebay hoping something turns up. There's a few prospects there, so maybe I'll get lucky. I just can't believe that tail light assy is that hard to find. Next thing is to find the part number so I'm sure I'm getting the right one. Does anyone know, for sure, if a 2000 tail light assy is interchangeable with a 2005? I've got a 2000 LeSabre that's literally on its last legs (transmission, anyway). If I knew it was interchangeable, I'd start it's career as a donor car. Some places I look says it is and some say it isn't.

Maybe im a lil slow but what is an assy
assembly
I use www.car-parts.com for my used parts. You can literly search the entire countries scrapyards that have computerized inventory systems.
It is one of the miracles of modern technology that they can build a $20,000 car out of $50,000 worth of parts......and a new one is UNBELIEVABLE - over $800.
I know how that goes. I wanted a guy to tune up a push lawn mower. He wanted to tear the motor apart. Estimate was for $300 labor, plus parts. I could buy a new one for $150.
Got to comparing the 2000 and 2005 today and it looks like they'll interchange. Our son was over today looking at it. He knows a method of cutting and patching a piece of plastic material for it. We'll try that first. Second option will be a donation from the 2000. Third - we've got a line on a replacement for around $250.
Last time I broke a tail light lens, I went about three blocks and got a replacement. Took out two phillips screws and put the new one on. Whole thing took cost 50 cents and took two minutes. But that was on a '58 Ford and it was 1966. So, I should be set for another 45 years. I'll be 107.
Will this one work Mick?
It is a 2004
yes i have it make me a offer on the tail lights but hurry and let me know
Replied again sorry but i will try to work something out for you.If you or anyone needs any parts ever let me know i get and come across cars all of the time.Just let me know what you need and i will see if i have it or try and track it down for you.
Hey Mick or anyone else this might pertain to,
I use a company out of Ohio who only deal in late model front wheel drive GM cars. The place is called Morad Parts Company
http://www.moradpartscompany.com/
They have an eBay store that you can buy stuff they have already pulled, and if you can't find a part in the store, just give them a call and they will be able to tell you if they have one.
Every time I get a part I just call and the guy gives me a price with shipping included. I bought a set of Used OEM Axels, pulled off a wrecked car, for my 04 Grand Prix GTP for $100 shipped and they only had 20,000 miles on them. I think their prices are pretty fair.
