I just wanted to add that the processor is very important if you are going to be pushing 1080p video output. Depending on the software you might not need it if you have a fast enough video card (PowerDVD for one will offload the processing to the video card for most recent AMD and nVidia models). Otherwise a processor that is at minimum an E6600 Core 2 Duo can do full 1080p processing without any risk of stutter.

Sorry to stay on the gaming theme. While a P4 platform will run Warcraft, in my opinion, modern devices will blow P4s out of the water. I fought two different P4 platforms searching for more frames per second for four years. One day down at Best Buy I see an i3 processor and 8 GB of RAM box for $350 bucks. I bought it, installed WoW and it runs like the wind. Doesn't even have a graphics card. It's a sad day, but it is time to ditch the P4. You will be glad you did.

LOL i dont have a p4 for myself. Thts my kids machine. I could care less about his frame rate. I dont play many games outside of xbox anymore. Well not untill the new star wars comes out then ill give that a try.
