We went to lunch at Applebees. When I got to work, I grabbed the list of who had signed up to go. No veterans on the list. I managed to find one vet that wanted to go. We went to his room and grabbed a picture of him way back when in his uniform as he can never find his wallet. Got him a free lunch. We arrived about 11:15. When we left there were people outside all over waiting to get in.

    Great stuff!

We just had our rememberance day (11 - 11 at 11.00am) where we all stop for 1 min silence to remember the fallen

Here is an excerp from "Ode of ememberance" This is recited here in Australia on days of importance, as it is also in New Zealan, and in areas of Canada.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
    We will remember them.

    ...lest we forget

wow, gives me a lump in my thoat just typing it..
