This is how the little Massey 35 looked like when I found her resting in the underbrush. Not a pretty site,
I obtained the telephone number for the property owner from a neighboring property owner, called every 2nd day for a month with out an answer, two years later my calls are less frequent, still no one to answer the phone.
Then out seeking treasures, I stumble across another Massey 35 in a different municipality. This tractors is in about the same condition with out the trees growing through the frame. So I wander over the nearest neighbor and get the owners name, whoa the same guy owns this one also.
But circumstances have taken a turn, the old man has passed away and the son is looking after the estate. I give the son a call and cut my deal which he accepts. I pat the man and drag my little gem home to be restored.
It's a 1956 Massey 35 with a Perkins 3 cylinder diesel, so far the restoration has new tires front and back, rims and hood painted. Still to do, replace the clutch and rebuild the fuel injectors and injection pump.
This is my first attempt to rebuild a diesel injection pump and injectors, I managed to purchase the rebuild kit for the injector pump for a diesel shop local to me for $50.00. In one of the junkers I picked up was test pump used to test and adjust injectors, it needed a new pressure gauge which is sitting in my desk drawer waiting to be installed.
I bought a shop manual from an ebayer in the UK for the CAV injection pump.
