That is what I got too...mine is a Sony HandyCam 60x optical zoom 4gb. dcr-sx40. I like it myself. Need to get a tripod though for it so I can do break downs. Other wise I am sure that something bad would happen using just 1 hand.

I don't remember if it was Ebay or Amazon but Laura got us each a kit to go with the cameras....It includes a tripod (small table top model), lense cleaning kit and a carrying case...I think she paid like $5 each for them.

That is not bad at all. Could you ask her if she could provide a link? $5 is not bad at all. I need a table one, plus a bigger one, so when I am away from my desk doing tear downs. That one, will probably come from walmart or best buy..the big one.

I can try the goodwills, but I don't think they carry things like that, but always worth a try too.

I know my local goodwill has a section in the back corner of the store where they sell the tv's and such. There is usualy a shelf or 2 full of cords and plugs and misc stuff. there is always tripods there. Its worth a try. ebay has plenty of table top tripod's as well for under $10

Thanks PTS. I will venture out to a few this week and see what I can find. Will definitely beat walmart's prices.

I just wanted one of theirs, because it came with a remote control, so cuts down on editing lol.

However, I am sure even ebay will have one for a lot less.
