It's not a "good until" date, it's a "best before" date. And it's pretty much meaningless. Gov't regs force manufacturers to put on an arbitrary date based on the ingredients. Canned food from early polar expeditions has been tested, and found to be still edible. That's stuff over 100 years old. The U.S. military did a study on the expiry date of medications, as replacing "out of date" meds in their stockpile was costing them millions annually. Meds were found to be safe and viable literally years past their expiry date (that mandatory 6-month expiry date on current prescription comes to you thanks of the pharmaceutical lobby effort). And food is a lot more stable than meds. Personally, not much milk gets drunk around here, so it gets kept in the back of the fridge where it's the coldest. It'll last at least a couple of weeks past the date before it actually goes sour. And that's milk, so /shrug. Whatever works for you. If you don't like using canned goods past the date on the can, or are just uncomfortable with it, hey it's whatever you like. I'm just saying you don't have to throw something out because of that date.
