Hebrew is the Jewish language. Yiddish, is a language spoken by German Jews. Since the Jews who emigrated to the US mostly came from that area of the world it would seem that Yiddish would be "The" Jewish language to you and I. Mike

I think the yeddish word your looking for is spelled Schmuck which means literaly penis. But a more common use of the word is for a dumb person.
