I am currently using 1and1.com for a website with their cheapest package. I have been with them for about a month and no problems. I think I am the problem. It was a very easy set up as they already had a template for my business (not scrapping) that i started with. i suppose you can do a lot with the site i just haven't. i have my contact info and business info throughout multiple pages. would i recommend it? not sure, i don't have much to compare with. the price of 9.99 a month is much better than a few thousand for a professional one.

I use Yola, just built this site on a couple of weeks ago and google has indexed it already, I'll been with Yola for years and I have several sites with them.

PTS, if I wasn't with hostgator, 1and1.com probably would definitely be my next pick.

I had a few domains with them years and years ago, when they had a huge domain promotion. Never had an issue with them. I would either recommend them, or hostgator.

If you use hostgator, they have 2 programs that will definitely be beneficial in designing a website. If you need help in putting it together, I be willing to lend my services, at no cost.

godaddy has been great for me. Not sure what they offer as far as site building but the basic hosting package is 4.99/mo with plenty of memory.

    Probably definitely? smh...

I have used 1and1. Overall was good. Only thing I didn't like is the email setup. Could be a settings thing but I just couldn't get used to it. And I got ridiculous amounts of spam. I am guessing that's due to having the email address spelled out on the site (clickable link) and spam bots finding it.

I know I sound a little illiterate in my posts but I'm using text to speech on my iPhone to make posts.

Depends what you are trying to do with your site. If you know your goals you can make a plan to achieve that goal. For example, do you want your site to "sell" or just be a "brochure"... do you want it to make people call? All things to consider. The design plays into all of those things.
