Back when I was like 10 me my dad and my step mom would spend the weekend dumpster diving for cardboard loading up a 71 ford f100 and a trailer.

My dad said it was 1.50 to 2.00 a ton not much buy card board lays flat. Plus I was and kid had a blast digging around in the dumpsters.

There has to be a decent market for it somewhere because I see so many semi's hauling it baled on the freeway.

$2 for 2,000 lbs? Definitely doesn't seem worth it at all to me.

There are a few grades of cardboard, i think generally it runs around $125/ton right now.

Ya not know but in the 90s when gas was a dollar or so a gallon not almost 4 dollars.

I remember when a store would get paid $8/bale, then mandatory recycling came along and now you have to pay to have it collected.

Corrugated Cardboard was at $200 / ton 2 weeks ago when I talked to a pneumatic baler sales rep..
