As everyone else has said, I too am sorry for your loss Dee. It's been said that if we have one true friend, we are rich. You're a richer woman for knowing him and he died a very rich man. Thanks for being there for him in his time of need, most others wouldn't.

Dee, that brought a tear to my eye. Glad you were there for him.

I've been thinking of a friend lately who passed in a similar way. Funny that this came up now.

I was touched by your post about the loss of your friend.
As Lytton Strachey reportedly said on his death bed:
"If this is death, I don't think much of it."

I imagine it's hard to find much peace in watching a person go, or in going for that matter. But it's surely good to have a friend by one's side, and a true measure of love and friendship.

Dee, you are a wonderful person to have comforted your friend right to his final moments. I've been getting an impression of of you from your attitude and language in your posts and I like it. You are a good role model and great asset to this forum and I'll bet, to everyone that you come into contact with. You are the kind of person that I am happy to know, even if its only through this forum. My condolences on the loss of your friend.
