things a scrapper would think of!!!
Hell I was in the Glider Diner in Scranton, pa if anyone knows it. They kinda have the typical old school diner set up like a train car. I was eyeballing all the stainless and aluminum. Rubbing my hands over it and said to my wife, look at all the money. She promptly said Im psychotic...lmao
What is an iron giant?
That's a great movie.
Freon, its a cartoon set in the 40's about a huge robot...I forget most of the plot but he befriends a little kid (and manages not to crush him LOL) and gets shot at by the army.
I find myself saying the same thing to my wife all the time these days. It's meditation, a reverse puzzle mind-bender, and a seratonin burst all wrapped together. I scrapped an old printer today and I broke it down to almost every piece I could possibly remove, and then reassembled the empty shell. My wife saw me mid-project when she came home, and commented that I might as well be doing yoga given the contortions I was doing to pop this and unscrew that.I look over at my wife and say,
"I want to scrap it".
I was amazed by the sheer number and variety of metal springs -- big ones, little ones, loose ones, tight ones, ones with loops on the end, and ones with little prongs. I found a couple that were about 1 mM in diameter and I thought to myself: I want to meet the guy who coiled these little things and shake his hand. It was probably a robot/machine, but nevertheless, it's the thought that counts.
