    Quick Flip

One of the services I offer is to find stuff for folks since I have the opportunity to see a bunch of stuff. One customer was looking for some barber shop fixtures and I stumbled on a shop that had closed due to retirement and was able to get the signage and contents at a good price knowing that some of it would go to my customer. Well I ended up owning the stuff for all of about 5 minutes cuz my guy took one look and said I'll take it all. Did end up with a couple hundred pounds of scrap and a tv when the dust settled.

Some really great stuff. It brings back memories of when I was a kid. I hope you hit a home run on that, Mike.

Thanks guys. The shop had been there for 30 years and it was like stepping into a time capsule, that being said it only took about 5 hours to gut.

Good day for sure Mike...kind of tough to hoard when the stuff doesn't make it home though.

It was the real deal and found replacement stripes stashed away in the bathroom.

Do you still have the pole for sale. I would pay out the wazoo for one just to have it. No clue what I would do with it though.

Sorry Pistone...I literally owned everything for about 5 minutes then proceeded to load it in my customers trailer. Barber shop stuff is hot and there is a great market for it even in this economy. I did end up with 3 paintings that my wife won't allow in the house and I'm guessing your GF won't either...I'm going to try and trade then to PTS for food. :]

Nice score Shawn! There is a big market for the barber chairs right now. If you come across more try to market them to tattoo parlors. Let me know if you come across a cast iron dutch oven in your adventures...

Barber pole looks like a marvy model 55. If it was a low serial number is should sell in the range from 1500+, but this would have to be for a model made in the first year. Ususally with a serial number under 2000. Most of the newer ones sell in the 200-400 range.

They are asking a little much for this one.

Yea Bohemian, the last chair I had a tattoo artist bought it. Always good when you have a few different people to sell crap too.

Dmm2442, the pole was a model 55. It's crazy what those things bring even now...wish I had one back when the economy was kickin and not on life support.
