Went out with the pick up to check on a lead for some scrap, I overshot the location ending up at the small lake where the road was washed out.
Nowhere to turn around and the road slippery as snot on an uphill climb. Dodge 2 wheel drive is useless in this type of mud then the diesel makes the truck heavy on the front end to boot.
I have marked the location with red dots in the picture below, this is not a year round road, often referred to as equipment roads and are not maintained or graveled.
Being lazy has its merits, I had left the tire chains in the box of the truck, took a few minutes to chain up and back the truck out of there.
Finally found the trail going into the scrap, nice old self propelled combine, of Dodge Fargo truck with a flathead 6 cylinder engine and a few grain augers one has an old Briggs 10 hp gas engine, another has 12 hp Kohler with the last one having a large 3 hp electric.
Then there's a large pile of scrap battery's maybe 25 or 30 didn't take the time to count them. Absentee owner lives in the city and leases out the farm land, have her telephone number already and will call later to cut a deal.
The other day returning home from my buddies place is Saskatchewan found a stretch limo and one small car sitting on a vacant farm.
Still have to chase down the owner on this, but this requires a new Rural Municipality Map as it is out of my areas that my maps cover oh well were expanding onto new turf.
