    Shroom Hunters?

Just wanted to see if anyone on here has been finding any morels. I found a few last night but i think they are just starting to really pop around here. Im hoping for i good year but we need a little rain. I love morels and love morel hunting. I even get the kiddos involved. I think they are better at finding them than i am.

The kids and I were ot last night. We didnt find any, still a bit dry here, but my 6 year old son found a buck skull that had a unique 7 point rack. It was pretty cool.

I make it a rule to never eat anything that comes out of the ground. For goodness sake, it's touching dirt people. Dirt!

    BTW. just joking....

Time to get the tiller running and attack that garden. Gonna be a big one this year. Never have looked for shrooms.... my luck I would pick a poison one.

One of the greatest adventures I ever had, going to Dawson City in the Yukon hunting for morels.

I vacuum dried my morels inside a large black plastic bag with a hose hooked up to the intake manifold of my van, much better looking shrooms than sun dried.

The Kootneys in B.C. a good place to hunt Pine and Oyster shrooms.

I hunt them every year. its raining right so i bet the next few days warm up and they really start poplin! I also have three gardens that need to get tilled up. It;s goon be a good year for my gardens!
Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

I was thinking the same thing totalfish. Only time folks hunted shrooms around here, the moon had to be just right and the farmer had to be sound asleep.

Nice finds everyone I'll have to post pics as we start to get rains and the season gets going. Here in FL we find Chanterelles, Oyster, Reishi, Chicken of the woods, Gymnopolus, Psilocybe, Boletes, Puffball, and a few other.
