    Moved into our Motel

I don't think that I really said anything on here about this but we had to move everything out of our apartment and into a storage pod and now we're living in a motel for 6 to 8 weeks while they totally gut our apartment and make it ADA compliant. Yay! Along with packing everything up (I have WAY too much stuff!) I'm trying to get my car to pass smog which has been unsuccessful so far. They think that my catalytic converter is bad. When they told me this I caught myself thinking "Well at least I get to scrap my first catalytic converter" lol. Just another pointless thread by Julie.

6-8 weeks? Yikes. Hope all the tenants are looking forward to the rent increases to cover the cost of the alternate housing and renovations. Another gift from over-reaching government.

On the other hand, I would love to have a pod to store some of my scrap pile in.

You prob won't get to scrap converter....Most places have a core charge and keeping the old converter makes up for that.....I think

'88 Chevy & '99 GMC pickups here. Won't ever buy a new GM. Ford is looking better all the time.

Sorry we derailed your thread Julie...boys and their trucks.

No worries about the hijack - I'll even contribute! Born & raised Chevy here! The only Ford that was allowed near my family was my Dad's Ford Anglia. It was made in Britan though so I think that it didn't count.

It probably had an inferiority complex sat next to it's US cousins. Oh, am I talking about old cars or new politics?
I know lying is wrong, but if the elephant man came in now in a blouse with some make up on, and said, "How do I look?" Would you say, bearing in mind he's depressed and has respiratory problems, would you say, "Go and take that blusher off you mis-shapened elephant tranny?" No. You'd say, "You look nice... John""

lol either that or it falls into the "classic hot rod" category and is just exempt. All I know is that it's a '48, competition orange and I love it
