    Check the electrics, I think thats what stops most fridges as most of the ones I scrap still have the gas in them....

    Hmmm, theres a small black box connected directly to the compressor, inside it theres some electrical contacts & a small solenoid, some of those contacts that I find are really arced out & damaged, I wonder if its that?

    it probly has a fuse in there somewhere, check that too!
