Just about every flatpanel LCD/LED TV now has a VGA input on it. Hooks right to any computer with no special video card needed.
I have a bunch of movies on my laptop and will plug it into my tv to watch them on a much larger screen!
It was automatic with my first computer. There were no monitors as of yet. My VIC 20 had to hook up to a TV. If I remember right.

wondering if TPAK2 has any idea what an "older" computer really is ; )
i saw videos of a commodore 64, i love the 90s machines that had windows 3.1 and 95. 98 and 2000 amd ME as operating systems
Find me some of this stuff.
This is part of the KDF9
Disc drive being removed.
This had a capacity of 4M KDF9 words - 24MB. It used 16 data platters each approximately 3 feet in diameter. Today it is common to use old CDs and DVDs as Coffee mats. One of the engineers converted an old platter into a Coffee Table.

Terminals are not really my thing, i just like old windows systems from 3.1 to XP
I saw one of those old terminal style computers at a yard sale last weekend. Guy would not take less than 30 bucks for it and said it did not work so I had to pass.
Oh dear, you should have taken it and fixed it
Some terminals are nice to have, and some are worth some money. I have a couple DEC VT-525 with keyboards (you provide your own monitor its not built in) to use with a MicroVAX 3100/85. Other then that I stick with atari/commodore/old mac/pc.
I wonder if you scrappers even see much computer equipment pre 1980's anymore.
I see real old computers at yard sales every now and then. Problem is the people selling them have no clue how to hook them up if they even have all the pieces. They also want collector pricing on them.
