Help me get started selling on Amazon

I just don't understand how Amazon selling works.

Can a new merchant with 0 sales history become eligible to win either of these boxes - buy used, buy box, more buying options?


As a new seller with 0 feedback and 0 sales history, am I supposed to just rely on the 1% to 10% chance that I get a sale on each item, compared to Featured Merchants who will have 90% chance that they will get sales?

From what I have read, close to 80% to 90% of all customers make a purchase through the buy box or buy used box, or more buying choices box.

That leaves 10% chance for merchants who have listings under new and used. And if there are 5 other competitors under new and used, that leaves a beginning seller like me with 0 feedback and 0 sales history down to a selling chance of close to 1%.

And I am not even eligible for any of these options! Frustrating...



Oh well, That's my understanding so far....
