    Are the cpu's only good for PM recovery or or they useful as working cpu's. If they are reuseable then you should get more than $1 ea. If you ship less than 13 ounces total then USPS First Class Mail is less that the $5 you referred to.
    When I have sold and shipped cpu's in the past I shipped at about $2 per package, if shipped through ebay shipping tracking is included in that price. Perhaps this will be of assitance to you, Mike.

    ps Local pick ups of that small of product would be a waste of my time, answer the door, get cpu, get a dollar. Not for me. M
