Items to do 24 hr auction?

24 hour auctions almost never sell...or sell well UNLESS a REALLY popular item (say an iphone). Even then, why shoot yourself in the foot? Give it 3 days to get a little speed and for more people to see it (ie you WILL get higher pricing). I do that with my broken smartphones and they sell about 90% of the time (granted I price correctly based on last 30 days of sales).
