I think it was a Thomson tv? Anyways, the first nut/bolt that is on the tail (normally the bolt is shred steel, and has no nut) was brass bolt with a brass nut. The clamp was plastic which is normally stainless steel.
Just something to keep an eye out for.

Seems like any TV that is 1980 and earlier, has some odd things in it. I've run acrossed what you're saying before. Also, the same one i had the brass nut/bolt on it, had large brass bolts holding the tube in, VERY VERY heavy brass plating. I have no idea why. If you've ever scrapped a trinitron, any size, they usually have that tin plating around the outside of the tube. Well this one was all brass. If i remember correctly, about 30 pounds worth.
Some tv's are interesting. You never really know what you're going to get.
