We are building a new airport runway, and ripping out the old one. The runway lights have to be replaced and get new wire. So I am taking all the old ripped out wire. :) (obviously, I got permission first). This is my first load, of probably 3 or 4 more loads around this size.

After I sorted it out. I have, 139lbs insulated braided copper wire, and 33lbs of braided aluminum wire.
Good score! Are you going to strip it or sell it as insulated?

I will sell the aluminum wire as is. And save the copper for stripping when I get the time.
Digging up old utility's at work is what got me interested in scrap in the first place.

Also, work has paid off in more ways than this. Everybody at work knows that I "take **** apart" (as they say.) So they never throw anything away without asking me first.
