Not every trip is a payday trip

So me and my dad just went out trying to find scrap metal last night and after like 10 dumpsters and about 5 devolpments we found zilch.We found wood,glass,broken fireproof stuff,cardboard,downright trash,heck even old cat food!(talk about yuck).So yeah that was a total bust.

As a two-person operation, one of you could scout on a bike or something that uses less gas instead of a truck.

I have been to Main if your country you will have slow times . Areas of mass population is the ticket.

went curb shopping in Kennebunk on trash day this past summer, drove home from vacation with a full load of electronics. wife wasn't exactly pleased. But as Copper Head says, if you're out in Stephen King country, forget garbage picking. Rural New Englanders tend to fix, re-use, re-purpose, save, store stuff forever. You can look for dumping areas on public land, park land, recently preserved farmland, abandoned mill sites or sand and gravel pits within state game lands...you'll find some old iron out there. You could also stumble on some old Mainer with rotting appliances on the side of his shed, offer up a percentage of your yard ticket, that sort of thing. Or reach out to the computer department at one of the many little colleges dotted around the state, offer to pay a couple bucks for old PCs, then strip and ship. All you need to do is use a little of your "Yankee ingenuity"!

Night might not be the best time either, it's just my guess though, but someone beat you to it. If you can't go during the day, maybe try sooner, like right after all those places close, like 5pm or 6

HAHA...ya, and dont forget to scout the bottom of lakes where people are dumb enough to drive on the ice in winter before seeing how thin it is.

We went the night trash in my area went out so we thought we could find some stuff also we went at night because I don't wanna be pulling a computer out of dumpster and hear Hey!Kid get out of there!

When it comes to curb shopping the following is true: Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you (no offense, Bear).

Don't give up. There will always be days when you'll do well, and days when all you do is burn gas. Personally, I think it averages out.

Hey no problem, just substitute "Ocean Pines" for Kennebunk, "Blair Witch" for Stephen King, and change the -ine to -ryland. Rural is rural no matter what part of the country you're in. ;)

Hey guys turns out I just wasn't smart enough.My friend opened up the screen and we found some wire,2 low grade board,and 2 high grade boards which I can assume where LED boards.So yeah now its down to just screen.So yeah.

and about that I live in Frederick.Not in the Ocean pines and stuff.
