Ok, i'm seeing a lot of posts about gold content in a cpu, but was more interested in the actual weight of a 386 and 486 processor. I dont have any to weigh, and I am basing a purchase price on the # of processors in this lot.
Also, how much effect will weather have on a processor (and its value)? I have a customer that says he has 100 old systems with 386/486's stacked up like cord wood outside his house.

i just sent out few forgot if .04 or .06
Just weighed some Intel i486 DX2 processors last week. .81 ounces each--.05#--22.96g. (40) of them weighed just over 2 pounds.
i wouldn't worry about where they've been, or what they'd been through, if you're just buying as scrap anyway
