What do you guys classify these as? I stripped a few and noticed they were silver so I am assuming they are aluminum. What do you guys do with these?

#3 insulated with ends on. Do not strip.
I get #2 insulated 1.05#
Thanks!
I would imagine that they are tinned copper, alum wire would be too flimsy for all the bendingQuote:

If they have gold connector ends clip them and then they go in the mixed #2 wire bin.
I always thought the older ones did. I pulled the casing off of one and here is what it looks like:

Maybe it's brass?
When checking the wire to see if it's copper or aluminum, clip the wire sraight across and look at the end. I just throw all my wire in the insulated copper bucket. I keep the power cords seprate from the thin wire because the power cords bring about .10# more.
If you find any adapters dont just throw them in with the gold connectors. I found a din5-ps2 adapter today, and a pair of ps2-usb adapters. They are good to have especially if you test old computers.
Also if you come across any clicky keyboards or any mac brand keyboards or mice set it off to the side for resale.
