Should I list the greenboards W/ the scrap CPU's? Or greenboards and CPUs separately?

We've been using ebay for quite awhile for laptops, their parts, etc. But, I've only successfully sold one listing (it was for scrap RAM). I have some cpu's (52) and I have some green boards (15 lbs.) - should I give them each a listing, or put them in a single listing? Are the people who buy my greenboards, the same as the ones who want my cpu's? And if I list my greenboards separately, do I need to sort the motherboards, from the daughterboards/cards/etc.?

I really like the idea of keeping all this stuff out of the landfills, and I really, really like the idea of making some extra money with it, but the information on the Internet is conflicting (as it usually is - about *everything*!!)

Why not sell to one of the buyers on here.

I don't do ebay but from what I see you may want to have a picture of the items on a scale with the weight showing. Also you list three things...cpus, boards and gold board scrap...i only see two pictures in your ad. Not to be picky but if this is your first foray into ewaste you may want to do some reading here before listing things you are not familiar with. Also you say there are daughter boards in the other description..but I don't see any...then again my eyes aren't what they use to be. Hope this came across ok and not like I was being prick...btw welcome to the forums.

No, I think I understand what you are saying - I would way rather be super-accurate so as to avoid any disputes later down the road. Maybe I should separate the daughterboards/cards/etc. from the motherboards, and take a picture of the 2 piles - people like to see exactly what they are getting. . . I know I do! Your welcome...check out the buyers section and see what you should be getting for each component. There are a few very knowledgeable people from your neck of the woods, usually on here later in the day. Check back with this post later to see if they chime in on what you asked. There is also a couple of buyers here that buy the core 2 duo chip at a nice price.

Save the hassle and throw them in a box, print a label and send them out to a buyer.
Some even sort for you.

You would better served selling the items separately. Hobby refiners will not purchase lots that require recovery methods they are not tooled up to do. Greenboards are either incinerated or subjected to a method that foils off the gold. Memory is most often incinerated. CPUs are milled or broken and subjected to acids. You quantity is not really enough for a large refiner. So knowing your customers which in this case are hobby or small refiners who purchase only the type of material they can process leads me to believe that breaking it into three different lots is the best way. There are people on this forum who will buy your boards, the memory and CPUs might make more on ebay but there are also people here who will pay you a fair price.
