my last gaylord of power supplies was approx 1500 pounds.
Let me revise my hard drive number for a better estimate.
You average gaylord has an approx inside holding space of 69120 inch's cubed
You average 3.5 inch hard drive will take up 23 inch's cubed.
if we divide 69120 by 23 we get 3005
The average hard drive weighs 0.8 - 1.3 pounds so we will go with an average of 1.1
if they are neatly stacked in the box only to the rim expect the box to weight 3305 pound give or take a few 100 pounds
loosely thrown into the box expect a 20-30% reduction in weight. Also add more if the are stacked higher then the lip of the box.
Also if you are dealing with gaylords i suggest getting a new scale :)

I filled a gaylord with power supplies by throwing them in, not stacking neatly and got 1100 lbs in. gaylords vary in size, mine was one of the bigger ones.
your standard gaylord is 48x40x36
Ofcourse these change based on application also thickness with decrease your storage space.
