Guess the weight of this copper?

So I've finally got around to weighing my copper. It's all hand stripped, I need to invest in a machine! http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/...21/image-8.jpg

Maybe 50 lbs

60 lbs

Ok so I clearly took a horrible picture. All said and done its 491lb! I was really suprised it weighed so much

491 pounds? I've got couple tubs full. One of welding cable weighed out to 93 and looks to be four times that pile. The picture must be deceptive.

The pile was about 2.5 feet tall, shoulda backed off and put something as a reference in there hah

That's a lot of hand strippin'... Did you use just a utility knife?

Make sure to call around and get the best price..i usually get 3 or 4 cents more per lb when bringing in weight like that...

that'll be one heck of a pay day!

Looks like a hand saw laying under there so that's one heck of a pile of copper!

A utility knife and 2 types of strippers. Both hand made, one uses a screw and the other uses a blade between 2 boards, ill put pictures up of the designs. The screw one I have seen, the blade I haven't seen here

Just out of curiosity, what is the thicker stuff from?

It was a big power supply that shorted out. That would come off a big generator. I found it at the dump :) talk about a hassle to load up! And I'll put the pics of the wire stripper up today when I get home, sorry been busy!
