Hi all first post although I've been lurking for a while. I just got a van and trailer to start recycling cars on the side.
I got my fist cat, but I don't know what it is categorized as. It came off a 1996 passat Tdi. It has two bungs in it on front and rear. Looking inside likes like a black honeycomb or screen.
Thanks for any help. I have a lot of work to know what cats are what.

Looks like a small foreign value around 50-70.00 bucks from the right buyer.
If you can, I'd advise holding onto it for awhile to see if the price goes up. Good thing is that they don't take much space and price fluctuates a lot. I'm holding into what I've got till probably next Spring.
Hmm. I have the room to hold on to it. How much fluctuation is possible season to season? I know its based on precious metal pricing, just curios how that would translate to an average converter.Quote:

you are using the wrong blade.I mainly buy cheap blades from lowes the kobalt brand they work good.
But i got some diablo blades and them are the best blades i have ever used.They last forever
I recently got some of those torch blades and was impressed, cut thru anything don't bend easily and cut, cut, cut and
Cut some more and still going strong. Use to run cheapos but they either bend or break quick so to me, the expensive ones are in the long run, cheaper.
I like diablo's too. I bought a cheap white one at OSH and it's lasted a long time too, but I can't remember the brand off the top of my head.
