New dude in NC
Hello, I am in the process of restoring a historic farm and I'm gathering up a giant scrap yard in my pasture. Every conceivable type of metal here. Plenty of aluminum siding, all manner of farm implements... buckets of nails, boxes of nuts and bolts. Tons of shredded up galvanized roofing, heaters, duct work. Giant motors and fans, it is ridiculous. Some of this, I will utilize in the restoration, but some of this is of no use to me. I am also fortunate enough to have a barn where I can store and sort out my scrap. I have spent my whole life buying and selling and dumpster diving, but I have never been very organized about scrapping until recently. I'll be looking for lots of advice.

I am in concord nc. I am opening a new yard with a Partner in Kannapolis nc. Good to see some fellow NC SCRAPPERS. I also love digging through old barns and often tear down buildings to get the junk inside and around them.

Welcome to the forum from another NC member. My best advise is always, read the old threads you will learn more than you could ever imagine. Mike.

Mike speaks truth on the old threads. The info you two will find here is just simply put..priceless. Also be sure to look at the bottom of threads your viewing for similar threads on that topic. An the search box..it's so much better now then when I first joined. An of course...you can always ask, if it's been asked, we'll point you that direction, an if it hasn't..someone will likely have a answer for you.
Again welcome to the forums.
