Gov Deals
Out of curiosity I've been watching an online auction on GovDeals. A lot of 1700 computers (hard drives removed) and 1400 monitors. 36 pallets and 54 pallets, respectively.
Current bid is $10,100, and there is a 5% buyers premium.
Should be interesting to see where it closes.

Probably around 300,000 yuan

Well, up to $15,600 & closes tomorrow.....

That would keep some of us busy for the winter.... Wowza

LOL I have found breaking down computers to be kinda addictive, cant wait to crack the next one open and see if I get any "presents" (ie Mulitple RAM cards, finger cards, a good CPU ect...) I would be ITCHING with that many to process :)

how much would they be worth broken down?

It is on Government Surplus Auctions - GovDeals.com. I entered "Georgia" for location (where I am). It is now up to $23,500 and closes at 10:31 this morning.
I couldn't tell from the pictures about the monitors. It's pretty cool to see all those pallets wrapped in plastic ..... have to admit that would be fun to plow into.
I also wonder what kind of upside there is on this potentially.
Man .... close to 150,000 yuan sure enough ....

Just missed it. Clicked on at 10:32.

It was up to $23k the last time I checked. I had been watching it for the curiosity factor. I would love to put some tracking devices in those crt's to find out where they actually go. For some reason those folks in Perry, GA have a ton of computers and network gear. Not sure if its the university there or what, but I have watched them sell close to 10k computers in the past year on govdeals.
