New to this forum, hello
Hey everybody, thanks for letting me join. I am a machinists/welder/gunsmith by trade and an independent scrap picker, mostly farm & machine shop equipment too far gone to "restore", really my restoring is just putting stuff back in working order. I like most anything old, tractors, guns, trucks, cars, motorcycles, sawmills, machine tools, boats, old woodworking equipment, if it's old I try to save it (hoarder) if it's too far gone I haul it to Martin Brothers Scrap Yard in Sardis MS, they give fair prices and are honest. I pick up batteries, wiring and alum stuff that these city folks dump by the road too! I am on several forums like Yesterday's Tractor and a sawmill forum but never been here. It is interesting to read about this business and the old tales of veterans junk men. Paul

Welcome to the forum. I think you should know that reading the old threads will help you in areas you are not familiar with(since you belong to other forums). Many experienced folks have shared their experiences here that you will benefit from.
