I came across a few things that I wanted to look into selling before I scrap them, anyone have any info on these?
Kenwood KT-31b tuner
Kenwood kt-31b receiver
Kenwood ka-51b amplifier
Sony cdp-265 disc changer CD player
Humax drt-800 dvd recorder with TiVo
Vintage Fisher rs-1035 tuner still in original box :-)
Did some light testing and they all turn on, if they are worth selling I'm gonna test them further.
there's a website that lists stereo equipment chriss, i don't have the link nearby though but i've seen it posted here on the forum
Put all that info into Google, Craigslist, eBay, etc.
Or take it to your local pawn/consignment shop and unload for whatever they think is the going price.

If you Google "Fisher rs-1035" in quotation marks about 70K links will be returned. First page links to some audio forums that will help. Bears link above is a good one but there is not any info there on the Fisher receiver. Keep in mind any dollar values you find are just that, what something is worth is what some one is willing to pay. A sold eBay search 2 fishers sold one @18 one @59. The knobs, faceplate and a few other parts may be worth more sold than what you could ever get for the receiver complete, especially if it does not work. The Kenwood stuff probably worth 15-25 each on a good day. I use Google, eBay and other websites to help me find information and values of items. I have sold some vintage audio stuff, most were non-working and did pretty well. Scrapped an old receiver recently, saved a few pieces because they're worth more than the receiver was complete.
When it come to more than scrap value items only you can determine if its worth it time wise. Been many times I've scrapped things that have more than scrap value, it all come down to learning, experience and effort.
the Fisher one I will probably try to sell, as far as the others it doesn't seem worth my time. except for the TiVo dvd recorder, those have sold on eBay for over$100 bucks!
not always a bad idea to have a spare dvd player around
